Quick Start

  1. Check status: Settings → License (Cmd+3)
  2. Start trial: Click "Start 14-Day Trial" for full Premium access
  3. Upgrade: Click "View Plans & Upgrade" when ready to purchase

Free Trial

Starting Your Trial

  1. Open Settings → License
  2. Click Start 14-Day Trial
  3. All Premium features activate immediately

Trial details:

  • No credit card required
  • Full Premium access for 14 days
  • Automatic downgrade to Free when trial ends
  • One trial per installation

Trial Countdown

  • Days remaining shown in License Settings
  • Warning notification at 3 days remaining
  • Reverts to Free plan automatically at end

How to Upgrade

  1. Click View Plans & Upgrade
  2. Select your plan on the pricing page
  3. Complete payment
  4. License activates automatically (restart app if needed)

Activate a License Key

If you purchased from the website:

  1. Check email for license key
  2. Go to Settings → License
  3. Click Activate License
  4. Paste your key
  5. Click Activate

Managing Your License

Moving to a New Mac

On old Mac:

  1. Settings → License → Deactivate License

On new Mac:

  1. Install StormTunnel
  2. Settings → License → Activate License
  3. Enter your license key

Cancel Subscription

  1. Access customer portal (link in purchase email)
  2. Find subscription section
  3. Click Cancel Subscription
  4. Premium continues until period ends

Offline Mode

  • Premium features work up to 14 days without internet
  • License validates every 24 hours when online
  • Warning appears if validation pending

Corporate Firewall

Ask IT to whitelist: api.stormtunnel.app (port 443)

Troubleshooting

License Won't Activate

  1. Check internet connection
  2. Verify key is copied exactly (no extra spaces)
  3. Restart StormTunnel
  4. Ensure api.stormtunnel.app isn't blocked

Trial Won't Start

  • Trial already used on this installation
  • Already have Premium active
  • Try restarting the app

Premium Features Locked After Purchase

  1. Restart StormTunnel
  2. Check License Settings status
  3. Try manual activation with license key
  4. Deactivate old Mac if multi-device limit reached
